Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all production and utility equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing breakdowns, controlling maintenance costs, and improving overall plant performance while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with established systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and daily shift coordination.
- Monitor performance and condition of production machinery, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Improve Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and reduce equipment failures through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance programs in line with planned schedules.
Systems, Cost & Inventory Management
- Ensure full compliance with ERP-based maintenance management processes, including work orders, spare parts control, requisitions, and vendor management.
- Maintain optimal spare parts inventory levels to avoid production delays due to part unavailability.
- Control and optimize maintenance costs while maintaining high standards of operational quality.
- Prepare and review maintenance performance reports, budgets, and CAPEX plans.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and coordinate engineering and maintenance-related projects such as line upscaling, new installations, and equipment modifications.
- Liaise with machinery suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution of works.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Lead, coach, and coordinate maintenance and engineering teams to achieve operational targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory standards across all maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in maintenance and engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance planning, and spare parts management using ERP or maintenance management systems.
- Proven experience working with machinery suppliers, civil contractors, and external service providers.
- Exposure to plant and machine automation is highly preferred.
