Summary The Procurement/Sourcing Director is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, procurement operations, and supplier relationship management for the organization. This role ensures optimal procurement strategies to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and ensure quality and compliance with internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Oversee procurement processes for direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to drive value and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Optimize supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, legal, and R&D to meet business needs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and track key performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals; mentor and develop talent.
  • Implement procurement technology and digital tools for automation and efficiency.

Key ingredients

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or similar preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement platforms.
  • Experience managing complex supplier networks across global or regional markets.
  • Knowledge of contract law, risk management, and ESG procurement practices is a plus.
