General Ledger Manager

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a General Ledger Manager to oversee the integrity of the accounting function and support the business through accurate financial reporting and strong financial governance. This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines technical accounting expertise with strong leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to process improvement. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial control, supporting business decisions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the general ledger function and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in line with reporting deadlines
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Review trial balances and ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
- Manage, coach, and develop team members to drive performance and capability building
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
Key Ingredients:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Due to Saudization, this role is only open to Saudi Nationals
- Minimum 6 years of accounting and finance experience, including exposure to general ledger management and financial reporting
- Previous experience leading or supervising finance team members
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards
- Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
- Experience working within FMCG, manufacturing, or a fast-paced commercial environment is advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with ERP systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
