Food People has partnered with an FMCG business to hire a Category Manager in Dubai to drive category growth, export expansion, and commercial performance across the UAE and GCC markets.

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a commercially driven Category Manager in Dubai to lead a category across channels. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong trade marketing capabilities with hands-on commercial execution and distribution management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive category revenue and profitability through effective commercial and marketing initiatives
- Manage export and private label business development across GCC and selected international markets
- Lead trade marketing activities across B2B and B2C channels
- Develop and manage distributor relationships to ensure strong market execution
- Identify and establish new sales channels including hospitality, institutions, and alternative commercial avenues
- Manage e-commerce product visibility, content, and promotional activities across digital platforms
- Monitor category performance and deliver against sales and profitability KPIs
- Work closely with sales, supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution
- Support lead generation and expansion into new regional markets
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
- Prepare business reviews, forecasts, and performance reports for senior management
- Drive on-ground activations and support brand visibility initiatives across channels
Key Ingredients:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG category management, trade marketing, or commercial roles
- Experience managing business across GCC markets
- Strong understanding of distribution management and channel development
- Commercially driven with strong analytical and financial acumen
- Experience across both B2B and B2C business models
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Must be based in the UAE
